The Mistex® Water Mist Fire Suppression system is a state of the art fixed detection
and suppression system that uses atomised water mist to achieve fire extinction.Mistex ® is not a 'water on flame' scenario. Water mist is propelled under low to
intermediate pressure into risk area and accomplishes extinguishiment in three ways:
- Cooling
- Oxygen Displacement
- Radiant Heat Attenuation
Invented in Australia and patented world wide, Mistex ® has been awarded the f1994 Australian Design mark and has won the prestigious Australian Design Award
for Excellence. Mistex® has recently been further improved in Europe utilising state of the art componentry.
It is not necessary to remove all the heat away from a fire risk area but to remove
sufficient heat from the fire source below the level of its ignition point. Mistex® fills the fire risk area with a fine water mist creating an environment that will not support combustion.
